Great Wolf Lodge

For our anniversary we wanted to go somewhere local but it's hard to find a fun vacation spot in Washington in February. So, Jared decided we should try out the Great Wolf Lodge that we'd heard really good things about. Well, we couldn't go to a fun waterpark without taking the peanut, so our romantic getaway turned into a family trip, which turned out to be way fun anyway. It's only an hour from our house and all indoors so that worked out great. Reagan LOVED the water! We took a trip to Disneyworld last August and she loved the waterpark there so she was a pro at Great Wolf. It's kinda pricey, but we went Tuesday through Thursday which costs a lot less than weekends. They have some restuarants, arcades, spas (even one for little girls) and they have this game where you get a wand and a list of things to collect and you walk around the whole hotel pointing your wand at interactive tvs collecting objects. It looked fun for the older kids. Here are some fun pictures! Might I add that the lifejacket was Reagan's idea. She saw all the overprotected kids wearing them and had to join. I'm not that crazy to have my kid strap on a lifejacket in 6 inches of water when I'm there right next to them.

Hanging out in the room. It's really cute and decorated all cabiny. Yes, that's a word.

One of her favorite things to do, climb up and down the stairs with absolutely NO help from mom and dad. She wouldn't let us help her, it was very cute in a yikes she's going to be fiercely independent kinda way.

These cute sea-doo's that squirted out water were a favorite too

Master of the slide

Waiting for the wave pool to open

They had this huge bucket that would dump a bunch of water every few minutes that she was completely amazed by. After 3 days, it was still just as cool.

The bucket.

The family after a long day.

Overall, very fun trip. I think we'll wait to go again until Reagan's at least 42 inches tall, most of the waterslides require that height even for lap riding. I would recommend this place for families with kiddos probably 5-13. It seems like it's made more for that age.
